This ceramic bowl is crafted by potter Kim Tae-soo, based in Gimhae, Gyeongsangnam-do, using clay collected near his studio. The bowl is fired in a traditional wood-fired kiln for about 36 hours. The unpredictable temperature in the kiln creates uneven glaze and natural color variations, adding to the unique charm of Korean ceramics. Each bowl is handmade, resulting in slight asymmetry and a rustic, organic look. These imperfections enhance the beauty and authenticity of traditional Korean pottery.

Wood-fired bowls are sensitive to sudden temperature changes, so avoid pouring hot water into them or heating them right after removing them from the refrigerator. Hand washing is recommended—use a soft sponge and lukewarm water. Avoid dishwashers, harsh detergents, or hot water, as these can affect the glaze. Keep the bowls away from direct heat sources such as microwaves, ovens, or stovetops, as exposure may cause damage. Handle with care, as the bowls can crack or break if dropped or impacted.
